Dear Parents and carers,
Welcome to St Kentigern's RC Primary School. Ours is a very friendly school serving the families and children of Fallowfield, in the Diocese of Salford. Our work is built around the teaching of Jesus Christ, and love of one another and of God are central to all we do. We want every child to do well, so we work hard to provide a curriculum which helps all children to shine. OFSTED inspectors recognised this when they visited our school in September 2017 and judged the school to be outstanding in all areas. We recognise that to do well, children have to feel good about themselves, and we place a great emphasis on developing children's self confidence and self-esteem. A broad and engaging curriculum is supplemented by a wide range of after school clubs and visitors, to enable children to celebrate their unique gifts and talents. We have been awarded Sportsmark and Artsmark Gold for the quality of our broad curriculum. Our children are polite and respectful, people who visit the school, including OFSTED, comment on their good manners, and we are very proud of them. Our teaching staff and Governors are dedicated to securing the best outcomes for all children, and we continually seek to improve what we do to enable our school to be the best it can. If you would like to look round the school, please do not hesitate to contact the office to make an appointment.
"St. Kentigern's is an outstanding Catholic Primary School." (Diocese of Salford 2016)
"Respect and tolerance for all is a golden thread that runs throughout the school. Pupils` behaviour shines in the classroom and the playground." (Ofsted Oct 2015)
We learn and pray in faith and love
"Upon entry to the school one is struck by the wonderfully warm and friendly welcome given to all and by the exceptionally calm atmosphere that has been created throughout. The behaviour of the pupils is exemplary. The pupils take a great pride in their school, which is fully inclusive." (Diocese of Salford 2016)
