Today we have been looking at Holy week and the significance of it for us as a Christian family. Yet again the children have listened to what we have taught and have been able to retell the significant events.
We finished our day of reflection by acting out the last supper. We shared fresh bread and Vimto and talked about how Jesus would have felt during this time.
Our children are never too young to understand the importance of having a faith and today they have been taught the meaning of Easter without all of the commercialism that happens in the shops .
It's been another lovely week for the children and the adults.
The children in our Nursery are extremely bright and self motivated. Since September they have been working hard on counting to 20, recognising numbers and solving simple number problems. Some of our children have even started working on the Reception Curriculum.
Our children love learning and as you can see they take their learning into their play. Below is one of our children matching cubes to numbers. She didn't stop until she had completed the numbers 1-10. What a little star she is.
Have a lovely weekend.
We have had the best afternoon today. The sun has been shining and so it was time for us to make the most of our allotment and plant our seeds. We have prepped the soil, dug out the tubs, sorted the seeds and watered the ground.
We've held worms, chased ants around the ground and even found some treasure in the mud. We can't wait to watch our crops grow. The plan is to pick the vegetables and then cook them in our kitchen. We're hoping for a bumper crop of potatoes and so these will be turned into potato salad. Watch this space!
