This week we have been reading Owl Babies, by Martin Waddell. We have had so much fun! The children have made an outdoor house for an owl. They have painted their own owls and have been on a woodland walk. To finish the week we have also been busy making bark rubbing prints. This then became our class tree for our display. Your children are a delight and pleasure to teach. Happy Friday!
The Nursery children have been extremely busy today making biscuits. Mrs Brennan's group gathered the ingredients, weighed them, followed the recipe and then created something rather special. We all sat down and at them together after our praise gathering this afternoon. Extra biscuits were baked for the adults in school and all agreed that they were very tasty. Finley said "They are better than Tesco". Mr Miller is making chocolate brownies next week with his group.
Forget The Great British Bake Off, the Nursery children have had a lovely time in the mud kitchen this week. They have been using their imaginations to create pancakes with mud sauce and worm cakes for the teachers! They have been measuring out the mud, using the mud kitchen cooker and finding stones to decorate their cakes. We can't wait to see what is on the menu next week.
