To finish our topic 'Awesome Autumn' we took a trip to Dunham Massey to explore the season of Autumn . The children enjoyed using their senses to explore the beautiful park. They took part in a leaf and colour hunt collecting natural objects for our transient art project. They were able to recall facts about Autumn and enjoyed climbing the trees.
Miss Wheeldon and Miss Rogerson were amazed at how fantastic the children were at climbing, balancing and taking risks! Just look at what a wonderful day we had!
"The leaves are orange and yellow" "They fall from the tree because it's Autumn. The trees are saving energy".
In Religion this week we have been learning about Hanukkah. We read the story of the burning oil lamp and explored the miracle of the Menorah. We looked at symbols and objects and talked about why these are important to Jewish people and symbolic during Hanukkah. The children enjoyed making their own made Menorah hand-print paintings. Just look how much fun we had!
