This week the children the children the have enjoyed the story of Cinderella. They have used their phonics knowledge to write fabulous retellings of the story and have role played the characters of the story. We have learned how to write speech using speech bubbles. In maths we have doubled the Gingerbread man's buttons and learned how to measure objects using mult-link cubes and larger objects using our hands. One child measured 10 hands and our doll's house measured 10 hand's. Great maths and literacy everyone!
Welcome back everyone. We all hope you had a fabulous and restful Easter break. The children have returned all ready to embrace the new term. Our topic is Fairy Tales and this week our story has been the Gingerbread man. They have all done some fantastic pieces of independent writing and written missing posters for the the Gingerbread man and posted them around the classroom in case anyone sees him! One child has used junk modelling and made binoculars to have a good look for him!
The children are looking forward to Easter and colouring in and collaging lots of Easter eggs. They have been learning all about the Easter story in our RE lessons and doing lots of Easter activities in class.
Remember we have the Easter Bonnet Parade on Monday 15th April at 9-15 am in the school hall. Please encourage your child to make their own bonnet to parade down the catwalk!
All parents and carers are welcome.
