Year 2M had the responsibility of hosting this years Harvest Festival assembly. The children learned about the values of this celebration and took part in learning songs and prayers. We had a lot of fun learning the Harvest Samba song and dance. I am very proud of all of the children for learning their lines and standing in front of so many people and performing. I would like to thank all of those who were able to attend the assembly, and everybody who donated food. Your support is helping those who are in need of it at a difficult time in their lives. Thank you.
This week, Year 2 went around the school grounds on an Autumn Hunt. In the classroom, the children looked through their checklists and discussed the natural features of the Autumn months in the UK. We then went out a perfect Autumn afternoon to find these features. The children found orange, brown, and yellow leaves, fungi, sycamore seeds (helicopters) and more. This was a lovely afternoon outside the classroom where the children explored and discussed their findings.
