The children have been historians this term learning all about The Great Fire of London. This week they have put themselves into the shoes of Samuel Pepys and wrote diary entries from his point of view during the great fire in 1666.
One diary read... "I shall bury my cheese and other expensive things so that they don't get destroyed in the fire"
The children then read their diaries to each other in role - well done!
Wow! What a busy week we've had! Our visit to the Cinderella pantomime was fantastic with the children dancing in their seats, cheering the Prince, and booing the wicked Step mother on stage. During the interval we sat back and had a snack and drink and prepared for the second half of the show.
This is what the children had to say
"It was amazing"
"I enjoyed it because it was really funny"
" I laughed so hard"
"I loved the setting and costumes"
"I liked the songs because I could sing along"
"The ugly step sisters were funny"
