We dived back in time to 1666 during the Great Fire of London today!
We imagined what it would have been like seeing the devastation and feeling the panic around us! We moved travelled around the burning streets in role as a Londoner and shared our thoughts and words!
We thought about the smells, feelings, sights and sounds from the fire!
Please enjoy the Autumn days you have off school next week!
Your child has been given some spelling and times table homework to pin on their bedroom wall or on the fridge to learn everyday!
Please support them by reading and practicing a group of the spellings every day and learning your times tables back to front, topsy-turvy and inside out!
We loved making our St Lucia tropical fruit smoothies!
We did some excellent research tasting a wide range of fruits and smoothies to help inspire our own smoothie designs.
We then designed our smoothies, thinking about the taste and texture we wanted in the final product!
We then plugged in the smoothie maker and got whizzing with our smoothie design! They were a taste sensation...a perfect refreshment for the tropical beaches of St Lucia!
We loved our storytelling adventure at Z-arts!
What an amazing experience we've all had today on our storytelling adventure at Z-arts!
Our very own storyteller read The Smartest Giant in Town to us in Charlie Cook's living room...we loved her funny voices and joined in with the Giant's song!
We pushed open a secret bookcase door and entered a Julia Donaldson world where we met lots of characters from all her fantastic stories...we took a ride on the whale with the snail on its tail, we helped the old lady clean her house (it was a squash and a squeeze!), we dressed up as the Gruffalo, we had a magical trip on the witch's truly magnificent broom and luckily dodged the dragon's fiery breath!
After that we pretended we were different characters from the story 'Zog'; we were knights, dragons and princesses! We loved the fun games!
It was a truly magical trip!
