We had a fun visit from our school nurse where we found out all about how to keep our teeth healthy and how much sugar lots of our favourite treats! Keep brushing those teeth year three! Also, a very special congratulations to the children for their sensational assembly all the about Chinese New Year on Friday! It was a brilliant performance enjoyed by all!

It has been fantastic to see year three going from strength this week in all areas of their learning but particularly their maths and their topic work.
We have been working on multiplying 2-digit numbers which doesn't come without obstacles. However, the children have worked really hard to overcome the difficult and complex methods needed to achieve so well done! The children had a brilliant lesson on the Greek Gods today, where they explored all 12 Olympians and their special attributes. Here are some pictures of them learning with a game of Top Trumps and some matching activities! This week, our science focus has been on the forces and what happens when friction acts on a moving object. Year three worked really well in groups today to test different surfaces and to show how far each surface would allow a toy car to travel. I was especially impressed by how the children made sure to keep it a fair test by simply letting the car go rather than pushing it down the ramp and were quick to correct each other if they were using the wrong technique! Well done year three, from a very proud teacher this week! |
