This week, we had our first mass with Father Michael and prayed for our learning for the year ahead.
In year 3 this week, we have been using our powerful adjectives to immerse ourselves in the setting of the Pharaoh's palace.
The children have been using their very own similes to show the beauty of the palace including a description of 'pillars as tall as skyscrapers'!
In maths we are continuing our work on times tables, and practising our counting in ones, tens and hundreds.
Not forgetting our fantastic science, the children had lots of fun investigating the 'Eatwell Plate' and showing which foods belong to each food group. We loved discussing the sugar and fats section but remembered that we need to eat a balance of all the foods in our diet!
We have had a brilliant first week back as the new juniors at St Kentigern's.
