We really enjoyed our visit today from Oliver the chocolatier!
He showed us the tools and tricks of the chocolate trade, explained where chocolate came from and how chocolate is made!
We got creative with melted chocolate and piped a design for our own chocolate t-shirt. We also made a chocolate lolly!
We explored the changes of state the chocolate went through and impressed our chocolatier with our scientific knowledge!
We hope you enjoyed the final products!?
This week we have been comparing solids, liquids and gases.
We explored air using balloons!
We investigated whether an inflated balloon weighed more than a deflated balloon.
We learnt that air has a weight and is all around us. Therefore the inflated balloon weighed more!
Air resistance stops hang-gliders from falling quickly back down to earth with a bang!
Can you make a paper aeroplane dynamic enough to fly the longest time in the air? Try it at home and share your results with the rest of the class!
