Before half term, Class 10 made a hugely enjoyable visit to the Marist Centre on Nell Lane.
The children were met with a welcoming game of fruit salad - and the staff with a lovely cup of tea!
Firstly, children looked at Faith and the things in which they have faith. The theme of the day was Love and children wrote a letter explaining what they thought love was. There were some very deep and beautiful responses.
During break there were some hotly contested table football and Jenga games!
Afterwards, children (and teachers!) got a chance to dress up and do some acting! See if you can guess what their roles were!
After a tasty lunch we went back into our groups and worked on collective worship through songs and poetry.
We finished the day off by watching "Matilda" and reflecting about the fun we can have while we're learning.
A great day was had by all and the children are already looking forward to next year.
A big thank you to all at the Marist Centre from Class 10!
Today Class 10 had a visit from the RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The children were really excited to hear about the work that the lifeguards did, some even got to dress just like lifeguards!
The highlight of the visit was when the lifeguards let us look at their truck - and hear the noises it made!
