"In the cross, while I breathe, I trust"
Classes 9 and 10 paid a visit to Loreto High School for a Taster Day on July 7th.
It allowed them to get a brief taste of what life will be like when they transfer to High School.
They began with a Maths lesson, where they were collecting and presenting data based on the roll of a dice.
After a quick break, some juice and a biscuit, we went back inside for a lively French lesson, where we learned colours and some greetings.
The children enjoyed their day and the Loreto teachers said that they were a joy to teach...which I already knew!
On the 1st of July, Year 4 travelled to Chester Zoo on their school trip.
The excitement was palpable as the children were placed into their groups and were presented with their rather fetching high visibility jackets.
A calm, relaxed coach journey later, we all arrived at the Zoo. Mrs McCormack, having been round a few times, already had our route planned to see as many of the animals as we could!
The children were superbly behaved throughout and took great interest in reading the information about the various animals. Some took excellent notes which they were able to use in class!
After a visit to the shop, where Slushies appeared to be the order of the day, we were on our way home. The sun even shone!
