Today we have made Christingles and made our own Advent wishes when we lit the candle.
A Christingle is made from an orange, red ribbon, 4 small sticks, dried fruits or sweets and a lit candle. Each part of the Christingle is symbolic and has an important meaning:
Christingles are used by Christians to celebrate Jesus as the Light of the World.
Year Four enjoyed using their imaginations creating sculptures from wire, foil and clay! We got inspiration from sketching the outdoor sculptures set in the beautiful sea of Autumn leaves! We worked alongside a real artist who shared her expertise with us!
We explored the Andy Warhol exhibition and studied what we could see, think and feel based on the creative artworks on display!
We had a great day and loved exploring famous artists and working with them too!
