Our Science lesson this week has been rather chilly!
We investigated the best place for an ice cube to melt! We designed our own experiment and carried out in science teams! We found out that solids need heat to melt and change into a liquid. The best locations in the classroom to melt and ice-cube were: on the radiator, close to a light and in a cup with someone's hands wrapped around it!
We predicted how long a jug of ice-cubes would take to change from solids to a liquid at room temperature. It took three and a half hours! Julia made the closest prediction of three hours!!
