On Thursday 26th we had a visit from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution ( RNLI). They told us what they did, what each coloured flag on a beach meant, what they had to wear and why. They explained how when somebody was in trouble they would swim out, attach a circular float around their body and swim them back to the safety of the shore. We also got to see their lifeguard truck and hear the loudhailers and their siren - we had to ensure our fingers were in our ears, as it was so loud.
We enjoyed the visit very much.
