Children have had a fantastic opportunity this week to learn more about the rosary as we celebrate Our Lady in the month of October.
Not only have children practised the prayers used in the rosary but they have also learned how to use rosary beads to count each decade.
Finally, children wrote a prayer to Our Lady, thanking her for her motherly love.
Anyone unfortunate enough to be walking underneath the windows of 5AV this week may have found themselves with part of our science investigation on their head.
The children worked in teams to make what they hoped would be the most effective parachute out of a range of household items including: plastic bags, washing pegs and string. Each team used what they had learned about gravity and air resistance to try and get our wooden peg skydivers as slowly and safely to earth as possible. As you can imagine the children and I had a lot of fun and learned a lot about how parachutes work.
