What a day! On Friday, year 6 went to London. We visited the Houses of Parliament, 10 Downing Street, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.
We even watched a live debate about home education and saw the change of guards! We were privileged to enter the restricted area which contained Edward the Confessor's tomb!
Yesterday, we were learning about famous people who are buried in Westminster Abbey. At the end of the topic lesson, we knew who Edward the Confessor & Henry VII was.
We had an interesting visit from Eon energy this week. We learnt about renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and geothermal energy. We learnt that our natural resources, such as oil and gas, will not last forever so we need to examine alternatives. We wrote our own reports on the subject afterwards.
