Science Week

14/6/2016

In Science Week year 6 were treated to a visit from Dr Chris Steele from This Morning. He answered pupils' questions about the heart and digestive system which they had studied the previous week. He demonstrated how much sugar is in a can of coke. He advised pupils on how to recognise when someone is having a stroke. He also informed children about the important numbers their parents should have checked by their G.P's ( blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.) Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the visit from a celebrity whilst advancing their scientific knowledge at the same time.
