Year 6 were in role as evacuees who were meeting in their seventies to reminisce about their experiences. Through discussion, we discovered that an evacuee's experience depended on the host family but also the child's background and personality.
This week we have been busy carrying out investigations with electricity. We found that by adding in more batteries to a circuit, the bulb became brighter. In our Topic work, we had to select which items we would pack in an evacuees suitcase. The most popular item was a cuddly rabbit.
Year 6 has made a fantastic start to the year. We have started our topic on World War 2 which the children are finding very interesting. We are all engrossed in our class novel, " Goodnight Mr Tom" and enjoy discussing it every day.
